I will suggest you to purchase this HP printer of this series which is good one. Since in my office also 5550 series hp printers are used. And this is working perfectly without any problem from past 1 year. Only thing requires is perfect maintenance of the printer to get it work perfectly. So go for this series of printer.

I know that hp printers are good enough for office based tasks. But I am not satisfied with the lifespan of the internal parts of it like fuser and transfer kit whose lifespan is actually not that good in my opinion. But can print around 120k pages in month which is good. So if you ignore the user problem then it is good chose for purchasing it for the office use. I will also suggest you to purchase the Dell 3XXX series printer which is also good one.

I don’t think it is the bad one. Actually its lifespan is depending on the situation in which the printer used and how we handle it. Since we have in office total of the 4 printer of 5550 series. Which are totally printing slightly less than half million page. And doesn’t have any sort of problem while using for year. Just need some maintenance. Only problem is with the drivers of it. we have windows 7 64 bit operating system on all the machines. And cant able to install the drivers over windows 7. But the drivers of it are work on the windows server 2008 which is the plus point of it.

Lifespan of HP 5500 series is really good one. Which we are using in the office for around 4 years. And the printer doesn’t give any problems and don’t need any major service for it.

We are using the HP CLI 5500DN. And this one is running quiet well for me. This can get around 1.2M pages. We are also using other black and white printers 9050DN. So if we do service it will work perfectly without any issue. If you want the less prints then I will suggest you to purchase the 4XX0TN printer which will give you around 800K pages out. And we are also using the smaller 4000 series printer which is actually works well also and it will give around 1.2M pages so this will be also the good choice for using in office.

I will suggest you to purchase the 5550 series printer. Since the printout quality was good enough. And life span is also the good one. And other problem is universal driver of the printer.
