How to deal with Ink System Failed cartridge error

My Hp photosmart 3110 all-in-one was running fit and fine by now but today i got a "ink system Failure" message.I then visited HP help files to solve the problems by disconnecting the printer and then removing both the cartridges and then turning the printer off for some minutes and then starting it again but it doesn't seems to be working fine after doing what they said. Any help would be highly appreciated.

try resetting it by pressing down the OK, Cancel, Black, and Color buttons until you turn the 3310 off and the printer shuts off and then turn it in on again.perform the same for a couple to time si it could recalibrate.and do this putting a new cartridge in order to reset.It had helped me hope it would work for you as well.

I am having a HP Photosmart 3210 printer and i am facing the same "Ink System Failure". I have tried all the methods that i could have even the reset command but it doesn't seems to be working for me.I am willing to check the white pump gear but i don't know how to access the gear? has any one tried it before or can help me out with this
