Can I upgrade my Dell XPS 8300 to ASUS Radeon HD6950 DirectCU II 2GB with 6 monitor

Ok guys I want to know if it possible ot upgrade me XPS 8300 with ASUS Radeon HD6950 DirectCU II 2GB and ATI Radeon™ HD 5870 Eyefinity 6 because as far as I think if I want to upgrade my computer with ths specification then I also have to update Power supply unit of my compute . I would really love to have any comment regarding this matter

You are saying that you are ready to modify your pc and just afraid whether you have to get new PSU then I am afraid you are right you need to update your PSU which I am not sure to what watt .

Mine updated successfully atleast with me I was successful with it I am using Superb 720W PSU and Gigabyte R5876P-2GD-B ,RADEON HD5870 EyeFinity6, 850Mhz, 2GB GDDR5, PCIe 2.0, 6x DP and trust me it working fine and I am running 6 + 1 eyefinity and its look awesome can’t tell you the experience of graphic on it all set up and ready to use

Better luck with running the HD5870 since the power consumption on the card is not that higher HD6950 .i think I have used the entire limit of my XPS 8300's power supply . My 465 GTX video card is working fine which I replaced with my ATI card that came with XPS 8300. Its consume a load of maximum 283W. HD5870 consumption at load maximum 295W I'm still using the stock power supply with the 465 GTX

Hey I am also looking for the same change in my XPS 8300 and its very valuable information that you have here but my concern is not the size of the two card my actual problem is to the extent that I know there is HIS HD 6770 GPU in the current XPS 8300 setup, which is 8 inch long and the Asus radeon v HD6950 and HD 5870 is 11 inch long this means approximately it would be about the 7 to 8 cm longer I wanna know is there enough place to use this card in the XPS 8300 I really want to know this or Is there any other option that is available to this regard any help will be appreciated guys thanks

I have suggestion for the very good Eyefinity 6 monitor AMD Radeon HD 5870 Eyefinity 6 Edition: One Card, Six Screens , I think you should check this

Quick suggestion for you guys I just got this information that this GPU will definitely fit in to XPS 8300 that I s PowerColor HD6870 2GB GDDR5 Eyefinity 6 Edition and I am not sure if this fits on or not but I liked it any ways ATI Radeon HD5870 Eyefinity 6 its need the big to fit this as it I s 11.1" in length

In my XPS that I recently bought I see lot of place available for the GPU it approximately up to 14 inch , I was looking for the nice GPU and found two
• ASUS Radeon HD6950 DirectCU II
• Gigabyte R5876P-2GD-B
Beside these two all other is either sold-out or is too expensive for me to get so I am going to get either of each which will b available to me by the end of this week but still I want the recommendation for you guys which one should I buy and why is it best then the other by the way both are costing the pretty much same my personal choice is ASUS Radeon what do you people think

I have got PSU of GIGABYTE- GE-P610A-C2 from the EBay recently and its very nice in working and you will get the same in $ 112 and if you don’t want GIGABYTE but I think the similar kind is also available on e bay name is ATX PSU for $100 or cheaper.
