Deskjet 2050 J510 – scanning problem in server connection

I am using HP deskjet J510 it got both the function scanning and printing. My Deskjet works well when connected with single computer performs both the functions scanning , printing but the problem arises when I connect my deskjet via a shared printer on my other computer . IS this possible to connect and use the scan option to all machine within the network if the printer is connected via print server?

No this is not possible actually the function of scanning is not provide with printer only u can also check the printer name it indicates “Printserver” means you can do all printing via using shared computer you cant do scanning and it does not support network. It is designed for USB connectivity only.

you can only print and share from the host machine. after that what you need to do is load the printer on the other machines and you can print from the host machine. Printing is only possible if the host is in working mode not in sleeping mode. This will only share printer but not scanning and all the machine should have same operating machine this will be convenience to use and also perform well as it USB only printer. and if want to add more machines then the better options is go for wireless printer.
