How can I make two GTX 480s work on 850 watts?

Hello guys I am using Asus P6T with Intel I7 920 D0- at 3.8 GHz and in addition I include Western digital caviar black 1tb. Well the things within the specifications but only difference would be is that I am adding an Xspc rasa rs 240 two kit with this specification. Is it possible to use two 480s works on 850 watts? I am not sure that it will work. What you guys think about this. Please share your knowledge with me. I am waiting for your reply. Thank you.

Yes, 850W is right for these two cards. I have said no if it was something more, however, because you are pushing if it was more. Go to a quality power supply 850w yet not bad. Since you might be pushing a little. And in my opinion, it is a Seasonic power supply. What are some of the main power supply in the market? In fact, the AX Series Corsair (besides the AX1200) Seasonic use as OEM. Silverstone 1000w possibly for the reason that it’s not a good unit. A good power supply of 750 watts as the x750 or AX750 is enough to handle 580 SLI, not to mention a good 850 watts.

Hello according to my knowledge it’s possible to do this. 580's are comparatively related to 480's in conditions of power consumption, as are the 570's and 470's, so they are intended for the most part transposable in terms of power usage. 560's utilize even less power. Depends on the details of the 850W power (amperage on the 12V line is more important), but Nvidia recommends at least 42A on the 12V line for a GTX480. Do not say is that this includes the energy for the rest of the system as well. To be on the secure side and not comprise customers complaining that does not work, make use of more CPU overclocking overvolted a power hungry system in the company of a lot of hard drives to arrive at 42A.

Most GTX480 with 6-pin power connectors can be drawn while being compatible is (75W as of the PCIe slot, + 75W since the 6 pin connector and 150W commencing the 8pin).
