The system software is said to be fooled to think that it is running two separate hard drives. The Barracuda XT is divided, so that 2 TB of storage has been reserved as the boot hard disk, while the rest is treated as a second drive for data storage. The software is said to be probable to be mainly useful for professional workstations and then it can also serve for the high-end computers running older BIOS with Windows Vista and Windows 7and also whichever operating system that you are using.

Re: Is Seagate Barracuda XT 3TB Good Or Bad

Seagate having the rival as the Western Digital has introduced its first 3 TB internal hard drive that has been launched in last October. And without the use of the software like Seagate's, the WD SATA drive, which is said to be sold under the Caviar Green brand, and also it can only be used in the 64-bit versions of Window Vista and Windows 7. And in addition, the systems of the motherboards have to support the UEFI. And for the systems with older BIOS firmware, WD ships along with the drive a host bus adapter that will be enabling the Operating System to use a known driver with the correct support for large capacity drives. An adapter is not being needed if the drive is used only for storage, and not for the use of the bootable drive.
