    Specifications of Hitachi Ultrastar A7K2000

I know that it will sound new for many users, because this hard drive is not that famous. I am getting this hard drive from my friend and I am here to get some specifications about it. It would be grateful for me, if you people provide some more information about it. I also want to know what you people think of this hard drive (I am sure that somebody must be using it). And more details about this hard drive would be beneficial for me in making decision to take or not.!!

All variants have in common is the 32 Mbyte data buffer of the Ultra A7K2000. The interface uses with Hitachi SATA II back to good food. The maximum sequential transfer rates are still far from the border with SATA II 300 MB / s removed. Hitachi Ultrastar is different from the normal Deskstar series mainly by the significantly higher 1.2 million hours MTBF. Has also designed and built for the continuous professional drive, "Rotational Vibration Safeguard" sensor technology (RVS) on. Thus, vibrations in RAID environments balanced. Hitachi offers the Ultra A7K2000 also in versions with hardware-based encryption. These variants have the model number in the ending "331" instead of "330". Hitachi Ultrastar is the A7K2000.C be particularly energy-efficient for an Enterprise drive. At idle, the 1 TB model approved according to the manufacturer 3.9 watts. Read / Write at random, the energy requirement increases to 8.4 watts. min for a 7200 rpm and two magnetic disks are actually classify this information as economical.

By using 500-gigabyte magnetic disks are placed in the ultra A7K2000 always among the leaders in the sequential read and write rates. Only Samsung's SpinPoint F3 is slightly faster on the road. A League of Their Own is the Ultrastar reading and copying of files of varying sizes with a throughput of 50 and 63 MByte/s. The offers access times, the Ultrastar does not slip while, but offers only average food. Drives with four magnetic wheels are on the average access time of course, conceptually the advantage. In the application tests in the PC Mark Vantage HDD can not shine Ultra A7K2000 with 32 MB of cache. Drives with a very large cache like the WD Caviar Black or Seagate Barracuda XT is a clear advantage. The test will benefit from very large data buffers.
