LENOVO THINKPAD x201 start up problem

I have Lenovo Thinkpad x201. I am using this laptop from last 2 years, the connection between monitor and keyboard has been broken but it was working fine. one day when i started my laptop, it starts up and automatically turns off on its own and the same process is repeated again and again without any display on the monitor.

The problem of rebooting the lenovo thinkpad laptop is caused due to some BIOS setting problems. To solve this problem install the older BIOS. lenovo thinkpad x301 have experimented with this matter and conclude that using 3.xBIOS, system took 15-20 minutes to boot up with other BIOS it took 2 minutes.If this does'nt work go to service center.

To solve the problem of booting, do as follows: If you have a windows 7 operating system, while running, press Thinkvantage button, for windows xp and vista follow the procedure:

• Click start
• Go to All Program
• Click on Lenovo service
• Click on Lenovo system toolbox
• Now you can see if any abnormal situation is occurred.

If your laptop is not operating properly then you may able to diagnose the problem by having lenovo laptop you may test the component of your system.

To start this program follow the procedure:

For Windows 7 user : While the Windows operating system is running, press the ThinkVantage button.

For Windows Vista and Windows XP

1. Click Start.
2. Move the pointer to All Programs, to Lenovo Services, and then to Lenovo System Toolbox.

If you unable to solve it go to service center.
