Need a budget rig for 3D Gaming

Hi all,
I m searching for budget 3D gaming rig.
Well, everyone needs a budget rig only. But may b i m asking a hig end rig under a budget.
Have been scratching the net for this for a long time.
1st i thought of getting i5-760, but it raised the budget too much, whereas AMD quads r much cheaper & since processor not playing a significant role in 3d, so doesnt matter whether intel or AMD.
So i need to hear from those who have been gaming in 3D.
Howitzer wrote in a thred that he is using Athlon x4 for 3D gaming.
Is it strong enough 2 support all games?
& hows the experience in compatibility? Which GPU? & what can b the lowest possible budget? I dont want fancy rig, just a robust design only for 3D.
