Does new macbook air have heating problems ?

I have a problem with the present MacBook Air models is that they run very hot when old for extensive multimedia tasks, therefore I want to be acquainted with what is my biggest priority, fast presentation or cooler operation? It is light to say that the Core 2 Duo obtainable in MacBook Airs nowadays are rather lacking, therefore a revive is needed, however the comparatively slow (for today’s high standards) Core 2 Duo chips appear to undergo cooling problems in the MacBook Air’s ultrathin chassis, so a faster chip could suffer even of inferior quality problems. Please help.

The new update of macbook air specially fixes the pace and process of the MacBook Air’s interior fan, which is answerable for cooling the notebook and prevent overheating issues. The fan has unsuccessful to do properly before the inform was released, which resulted in random interval of freezing that left the MacBook Air unfeeling for 10 to 15 second periods (if not longer). In most cases report by users, the freezing occurred when CPU-intensive operations, for example downloading, audio and video playback, and the use of resource-intensive applications such as Safari and iTunes. When a MacBook Air were to freeze, users noticed that its internal temperature would rise to abnormal and extreme levels, often causing one of the notebook’s main processor cores to power down completely. The weight of the operations would then be directed towards the single residual core, which would be not competent to handle the operations, which ultimately caused the system to stutter and freeze up constantly.

Over the testing of these users, it seems that the origin of these concerns comes from the operating temperature of the machine. By forcing the fans to increase their speed (around 3500 rpm), the problems disappear (but it works straight into the noise ...). In normal times, while the temperature of the processor and graphics chip that can reach 95 ° and 68 ° fans barely exceed the 2050 rpm. The solution could well come from a firmware update and is not linked to faulty graphics cards. Asked by SlashGear, NVIDIA has suggested that Apple was aware, but she had not contacted.

Finally, prolonged use of the MacBook Air could lead to overheating, causing the extinction of one CPU core and reducing the operating frequency. There is no other solution than moving the computer in a cooler area or use a suitable cooling system. Users are therefore slowdowns or freezes screen for a certain time. Either the consumer is able to cool the MacBook in question, he goes to sleep to let it rest. In the absence of RIL, some are looking at the thermal paste linking the processor and the cooling system and how it was applied. This is not the first time Apple has this kind of problem.

I will not detail here on all issues affecting the MacBook Pro. Some machines warmed so that it was simply impossible to keep them on their knees to work. Apple has yet to release the latest MacBook series that tend to heat up in greater numbers than their big brothers stamped "Pro". It is a form of public confession, which confirms what was found by those who had disassembled the units problems. A significant number of users has noticed that after a prolonged period of use of their MacBook machine reached a temperature that does not reflect the heat dissipation of a Core Duo. Indeed, with an integrated graphics processor and such, why such a heat release when you know the work done by Intel on this? Therefore, some have just dismantled their MacBook to understand what was going on, and the discovery was interesting.

This is generally a problem of heat removal: the air is simply trapped inside and can not get out. The air is blocked by a piece of plastic that is "stuck" in the exhaust duct heat, causing the stagnation thereof. While the Core Duo is in moderate dissipation strength, it certainly can not be a miracle if the heat is blocked. It seems that removing the plastic piece to make things go in order. But there is always a risk of damaging the machine due to heat too steep and too constant. Apple has confirmed the presence of this piece of plastic in an announcement on the support section of the U.S. site. The firm said that the problem is actually a representative number of machines. This piece of plastic is placed there during installation of the machine so that dust does not enter in the laptop.

Only models Core 2 Duo 3.06 GHz were presented (without the Quad-Core 2.66 GHz and 2.8), we found that the all-aluminum chassis, beyond its environmental benefits, is really necessary. For if the model 21.5 ", very quiet, does not seem too hot, we can not say the same model 27" to 3.06 GHz.While the machines have remained hidden under a black veil for a good half hour, but 45 minutes after being discovered, the iMacs were still hot when they were virtually inactive. Obviously, if the major organs such as the CPU, GPU or the disc are clearly involved, the LCD panel LED contributes equally widely.
