Having doubts about the SSD technology. Please Help.

Let me tell you first that I have recently started studying about the SSD technology. So I am having doubts about the SSD technology. I thought posting here would be helpful, since you members have always provided me with proper solutions. Please provide some notes that can help me in understanding the topic. Also I am interested to know about its compatibility. I am hoping some detailed explanations from you members as soon as possible.

I think that forst you should know solid state drive? A solid state drive is a device that, on the outside, it looks much like any normal hard disk, but inside is quite different. While hard drives have spinning magnetic plates (similar to CD-magnetic), SSD drives store data in flash memory chips, without any moving parts. Along with this, you should also aware of NAND technology that is the basic concepts on SSD. Talking about the NAND technology, it is a type of flash chip technology that is used frequently in flash storage devices such as USB flash drives, memory cards and, of course, SSD drives. Do not confuse flash chips with DRAM chips used in the reports of the system. Unlike flash memory, DRAM preserves data only while connected to power. This is one of the main reasons for the flash technology is suitable for storing data.

SSD drives are preferable to traditional hard drives primarily for three reasons. First, no moving parts and therefore are not prone to mechanical failure of hard drives (for example, do not spoil if they receive a blow). Second, the lack of turntables, SSD drives consume less than traditional hard drives, which is especially interesting for notebooks and netbooks, but also useful for desktops, which gain in efficiency. Anyway, the main advantage is performance. Not having to moving mechanical parts, SSD drives speeds of reading and writing much higher. In practice, this means that the computer boots faster, programs take less time to start and the computer does not make you wait as long as it "thinks."

Unlike the hard drive, which is a metal substrate with a circuit board, the SSD is covered with plastic and has no track in sight. SSD drives are the same size hard drives, as they are designed to fit into the same bays in the computer. SSD drives use a SATA connection, as most modern hard disks. Simply connect the unit as a drive: Your computer will recognize it as a storage device and ready for use. It's that simple.

There are three ways to connect hard drives. The three most popular systems are SATA, IDE (also known as ATA or PATA) and SCSI. Each one is different, but most newer systems have many internal SATA connections. If your computer has SATA connections, you can connect an SSD drive and start using it immediately. Like hard drives, SSD drives are external and can be connected to the computer through a USB port. Anyway, if you want to improve system performance, the solution is to install an internal SSD.

A SSD is a hard disk, but much faster, so you can use instead of the disc. For example, laptops that only have room for a disc, making it impossible to use the hard drive and SSD drive at a time. When carrying out the replacement, you can use a cloning software to copy all files and programs from the HDD to the new drive, so you never need to reinstall the entire system. In contrast, desktops and laptops larger, you can install an SSD without removing the existing drive. Thus, the operation of the team will improve significantly, as SSD will have a very fast to implement programs and a huge additional storage space on your hard drive for storing all kinds of files such as videos or songs. If you replace a hard disk by a SSD, you'll enjoy the advantages of the new device at all times. However, if you use both together, will have to ensure you are properly taking advantage of the SSD. The best is saved to the hard drive all types of files (documents, music and videos) and install the operating system and programs on the SSD for the team let alone late start and the program start with incredible speed.

If you've grown tired of spending more time waiting while loading a program using it, probably the performance improvement is achieved with an SSD drive is just what you need to get more from your computer. When loading games, which tend to have huge levels and almost more detailed graphics than the reality, the system has to handle a huge amount of data. Using an SSD drive is a way to spend less time loading maps and more time enjoying the game. Netbooks and laptops, especially the smaller models tend to be rather slow. If the hard disk is replaced by a SSD, you can improve performance and at the same time, prolonging battery life. Moreover, as the SSD has no moving parts, nothing will happen if you receive a blow. If you combine an SSD with a hard disk, you can use the SSD for the operating system, programs, and as temporary workspace for image editing software, and save the original and edited photos on your hard disk. As the SSD will address the most demanding tasks, the editing process is much faster.

There are, but if you want to enjoy all the advantages that we have explained, you will not find many solutions that are at the height of the SSD technology. In any case, to take full advantage of the SSD, it is important that you have lots of memory in the system because there is little point having a very fast disk if it lacks sufficient space for loading programs. The system memory is often called DRAM or RAM, is a method very fast temporary storage used by programs that are running. The contents of this memory is lost when the computer shuts down, so disk drives needed to store the information. If you increase the capacity of the RAM and install a SSD drive, his team will reach an astonishing rate. Other factors that may affect performance are the processor and in the case of gamers, the graphics card. See our article for tips on how to improve a system easily.
