Fax issues with on my HP Officejet 4315

I use HP Officejet 4315 and the problem is that with the application that is the fax was working well but then all of a sudden it is not responding. I have no idea what could have been the issue. Please do help me out so that I can make the desired change which will be better and helpful .it is necessary to work out. It would be helpful. I have connected the device to my desktop which works under Windows Vista.
