OS 10.4 Canon Imageclass MF 5770 Drivers for Mac

Can someone here please help me to find out the driver that can be effective and able to be run properly on my system, Just as some other driver which will be feasible to work upon the Mac OS X. We have purchased a network printer that goes fine with the computers but the drivers are not available for the Mac dependent system . There are other models such as MF6540 that does have printer drivers. -- We are also running with 3 more mac users and more coming to the office.

You are right that there are several drivers are not supported by devices because the drivers are programmed according to the category of devices. For your current situation, you should go for the use an HP Color LaserJet 4500 driver.You would not have complete management over special properties, but it should print just well as in my experience the big Canons are well going with the PCL5c -dependent drivers...

Hi everyone, I have the similar problem , but couldn't find the HP driver listed above to feasible to run at all. The printer is situated at the network and is allocated an IP address. I am running with any issues using this as a network printer for different computers on the network, including wireless and all. Any help would be appreciated ....

I am traveling in the same situation as above members . On the mac, I have attached a LPD printer (The MF 5770 dependent LPD printing), configured the absolute IP address, and picked the recent driver (not Gutenprint version) for the HP color laserjet 4500. If someone has gotten this to work properly , perhaps they can let me know what I have performed incorrect or failed to be accomplished . Thanks very much !
