Q6600 and TRU 120 Extreme Lapped

I need help here in regards to Thermalright Ultra 120 range, to identify the performance of this over Intel Core Q6600. My old fan has not supported my system fair enough while overclocking. Which has caused serious heating in the system. I had also faced blue screen cars many times. I am now going to swap my fan to TRU 120 Extreme on the CPU which I believe might work better. What are your recommendation for this.

Thermalright Ultra 120 heatsink is really nice which offers you a 120mm fan. Its base is made of copper and nickel plated aluminum fins are shaped for better airflow. It can be installed on Intel LGA Socket 775 or AMD Socket 754, 939 and 940. Impressive with its 745 grams, it is also by its size: 16 cm, 13 cm wide and 6 inches deep. It is best to check that the motherboard is compatible, but no specific motherboard manufacturer has been listed as not compatible.

The presence of a 120mm fan for quiet cooling compared to a 90 mm. Indeed, a 120 mm will generate a stream of air equivalent to a 90mm but with a lower speed (and therefore less noise). It has a very good performance but fails to outpace its direct competitors. Thermalright has responded tit for tat by equipping its Ultra 120 6 heat pipes which gives you awesome support for cooling.

The Ultra 120 eXtreme is like his little brother 16.1cm high and dominates at this level our comparison, so pay attention to the compatibility with your camera. It is compatible with the latest Intel and AMD sockets: sockets 775 and AM2. For other sockets, mostly to the S939, will have to purchase a separate mounting kit to mount the Ultra 120 eXtreme. If you are planning to switch for this then you can go on.

A special feature of Thermalright coolers is that the contact between heat pipes and cooling fins, and heat pipes and base plate are soldered together. The cooler assembly sets are complete in very high quality, so that the cooler on both Intel-and AMD-systems can be used. Thermalright, is multi-socket with no backplate. Because of the compatibility with current motherboards one is dependent on the smallest possible backplates. It is worth noting however, that no AM2 (+) Backplate included.
