SB Live 5.1 Digital vs Realtek 850

I think Realtek 850 is good for gaming PC because it featuring four 16-bit two-channel DACs and a stereo 16-bit ADC, the ALC850 compatible multi-channel audio CODEC designed. The ALC850 include proprietary converter technology and fully meets routine requirements for PC99/2001 systems. It have four pairs of stereo outputs, with 5-bit volume control and manifold stereo and mono inputs, along with supple mixing, and gain and mute functions, offer a complete included audio solution for PCs. The digital boundary circuitry of the ALC850 operates from a low-power using up 3.3V power supply. All the best.

The Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit was not in reality a member of the Sound Blaster Live! Family, because it lack the EMU10k1/10k2 processor. It was a stripped down version of the Audigy Value, with an SNR of 100 dB, software based EAX, no superior resolution DVD-Audio Playback, and no Dolby Digital 5.1 or Dolby Digital EX 6.1 playback. A proof of this is that on Linux operating systems, when by means of the ALSA sound system, the component that is used for the Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit, while the module that is used by the Sound Blaster Live.

This latest round of PCI Sound Blaster Live! 5.1 boards hold stereo (two speaker), surround sound (four speaker), and now Dolby Digital 5.1 (six speaker) setups using software-controlled Dolby AC-3 decoding. In case you’re not well-known, Dolby Digital 5.1 decoding provides six divide channels of audio (center, left front, right front, left rear, right rear, and a subwoofer). It's nice-looking much the standard for high-end audio, providing a much more realistic experience than 4-channel surround sound. This is surely a feature we wait for to see in the future as developers struggle for more sensible sound fields in their games.
