If your laptop uses the Conexant Pebble audio drivers try uninstalling the driver, reboot the computer and let Windows install its own default audio driver. For some who have trouble with sound on laptops that have the Conexant audio driver, removing the driver and letting Windows install the default driver helps fix some of the sound issues

I will also suggest you to use the default drivers of window 7. This may solve your problem. But if it does not solve your problem then download the latest Conexant Pebble driver from the official site. Conexant Pebble and then reinstall it on your Toshiba laptop.

Yes, installing the latest Conexant Pebble driver will solve your problem but you have to take care of certain points, which are mentioned below:
    1. First of all make sure that you have updated your window 7 operating system
    2. After that go to the device manager which is under control panel
    3. Now under sound devices uninstall Conexant Pebble driver
    4. Restart you computer and it must work well
