    Installation Issue of HP Officejet 8500 on Windows

    I have added a new HP Officejet 8500 to my Windows PC. After installation when I tried to give a text page there was not output in the printer. How to troubleshoot this. The printer is showed in Microsoft Word. So this means that the printer is installed properly without any errors. Then why this printer is not working properly on Windows. How to fix this.

    Most printer drivers have a function to print a test page, which contained more information. To obtain a printout of this page, scroll down Start, Settings, Printers and photocopiers. Right click on your printer model and select Properties. Click Print a test page. If this page out properly, click OK, otherwise click Troubleshoot to start the wizard to troubleshoot Windows.

    If the Troubleshooting Wizard of Windows have not solved the problem, then go on Start menu > settings, printers and fax. Right click on your printer model and select Properties. Select the Ports tab and verify that the selected connection is the one you use (usually LPT1 for parallel port USB001 or for any of the USB sockets on your PC). Correct as necessary and click OK. If you still can not print, return to the previous window, select the Advanced tab, select Print directly to the printer and click OK. This setting prevents the pages pass through the queue of Windows.

    In general, documents to go through the print queue in Windows. To display the contents of this file, click Start, Settings, Printers and Faxes. Double click on the model of your printer. The window that appears contains a list of documents waiting to print (the newest at the bottom of the list). If there is a blockage of printing, the case is automatically referred to the first line (in the example shown below, there is more paper).

    To remove an item from the queue, right click it and choose the Undo function. The Suspend and Restart commands allow you to temporarily stop printing and resume, for example, once you've changed paper. If you share your printer between multiple computers, you probably can not suspend or cancel the print jobs you have created. Word automatically convert any A4 document created with a different layout. To do this, pull down the Tools menu, Options. Select the Print tab, and in the Print Options box, select Resize A4, stationery and click OK.

    First check the drivers for your printer manufacturer's website. Uninstall the old drivers via Start > Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager. Then check if there are no yellow question mark or yellow exclamation point would mean that there is a problem. Then also check if the print spooler is activated from the list of Windows services. For this you have to go in control panel then system Administrative Tools > Services > print spooler, set this to automatic
