need a scanner- help choose

Hey there guys,

I am looking for scanner that can scan synthetic leather (rexine) sample. I went to a HP retailer and they suggested me Laserjet G4010. They told me that it has good picture quality and should be able to give high detail that I require from the scan. However, they said I cannot test the scanner at the shop.

Therefore, I have come to this forum to get an opinion from you guys about this HP product. Also are there any other HP (or any other company) products which are cheaper and sufficient for my need.

If you want you can go for Laserjet G4010 because it can scan high-quality copy of photos, documents, slides and if you want to scan any 3d object they you can also scan it.
