Freebox is a kind of ADSL Modem that ISPs provide to their ADSL subscribers. To make all this configuration, you must have Internet connection and a phone. Here is how to activate Wireless mode on Freebox:-

    • First of all go the homepage of Freebox and click on "My Account.
    • Enter your username and password.
    • The login is your phone number
    • The password you were provided with free (look at the papers you received.)
    • Now on the User Interface, choose "Internet".
    • Then click "Configure my wireless network Freebox ."
    • Check the box next to "Enable" to activate the Wifi.
    • Provide a name for your network
    • Choose your type of protection
    • Create your network key
    • Validate your configuration by clicking the button "Send"
    • Restart your Freebox.

    Thats it, you are done.

    Re: Freebox WiFi Configuration

To configure a conventional router, the user must, for the most part, through a management interface that is usually on a local network address type http://192.168.1.1 for example. In Free, none of that. Here you must enter a username and password. These are given to you by Free in a letter that you receive when your connection is established. The identifier is the telephone number that was used to build your online password is provided by Free. Note that if you use this data to manage the advanced features of the Freebox, they serve absolutely no connection identifiers that do not exist in the operator.

    Re: Freebox WiFi Configuration

Whether through expansion cards (and 11 Mbps or 54 Mbps) for versions 3 and 4, or native (and MiMo) for v5, the Freebox allows you to connect Wi-Fi Yet If a simple connection through an Ethernet cable requires no configuration on your part, it is not the same for this type of wireless link. After each configuration change, it is necessary to restart the Freebox that these changes are taken into account. In the setup screen, you can configure the ports open to run certain applications running in server mode.
