Memory card not detcted in card reader of HP Desktop

I am having the problem with the inbuilt card reader of my computer system. This card reader is not detecting any memory cards inserted in it. I am having the HP desktop which has the Built in card reader for the data transfer from the computer to the memory cards. How can i resolve this problem? What is the issue with this card reader device of the HP computer system.

The in built card reader of the HP Desktop is not detecting the memory card that you are inserting in this card reader. So first of all make sure that the memory card that you are inserting in the card reader is working properly. It should not be corrupted. Try to check this memory card with some other card readers or the external card readers. If it is not detected in the computer system then there is the problem with the Memory card.

If the memory card which you are using is proper and it is detected on the other card readers of the laptops and the external card readers then see that this computer has the driver software for this card reader device installed or not. If the driver software is not present then you have to install the driver software. Because any hardware does not works without the software. So first install the software and after that you will be able to use this card reader of the HP desktop.

May be the card reader of the HP Desktop computer is disabled from the dice manager of the computer system. That is the reason for not detecting the memory card by the card reader of the computer system. By enabling the card reader from the device manager will fix this problem. For enabling, go to the device manager by right click and select the manage option. Select this card reader device. Right click on the card reader device and select the "enable" option.

If all the settings for the card reader is proper and the drivers is also installed and the memory card is also working with other card readers then this is the problem of the inbuilt card reader. You should replace this card reader device with the new one. Or else you can use the external card reader device for the data transfer purpose. You can easily get the external card reader device in the market which will support all the types of Memory cards present in the market.

I think it is better to use the USB Cable of the mobile phone or the any device to which you want to transfer the data. Directly connect the device using the USB Cable to the computer system and transfer the data. If you are not having the USB Cable then you can use the bluetooth for the data transfer. Provided that the desktop and the Device both should be bluetooth enabled.
