How to select a home printer

Hi all,

I am using Windows Vista on my PC. I want to purchase a printer for my PC on my home use, My works in limited for printing as average 2 -10 page daily. I am confusing about Ink-Jet and laser. Can you suggest me which one is better for home usage. Thanks in advance.

I suggested you to go for Inkjet printers. Basically it works as a propelling variably-sized droplets of liquid onto almost any sized page. These are the most common type of computer printer for the general consumer due to their high quality of output, low cost and capability of printing in different colors.It is ease of use. It easily available in market for low rate.

A laser type printer is also widely used by hard copy output. It produces high quality text and graphics on plain paper. Laser printers were invented at Xerox laboratories . Now Canon, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, and Xerox can produced this laser printer. If the printer uses a single toner cartridge for all the colors then laser is good for you. Generally you are better off to buy a printer that uses separate cartridges for each color.

If you want to special need in the area of paper supplies such as large sizes ,please make sure to test before you buy. In case of price calculation, toner cartridge in $60)will print two thousand average pages, and that you have to replace the fuser assembly that will cost $100 every six thousand pages.

Ink jets printing gets expensive. In ink-jets, that is mainly ink cartridges. With laser printers, it involves toner cartridges and some mechanical parts of the printer, that is fusing element. All printer company warns against toner cartridges which have been refilled by third parties. think refill cartridges is the big problem in printer. It is good for you that by a printer which uses one cartridge per color instead of a printer that uses a single cartridge containing all of the colors.

Laser printers despite their higher price tags but cost per page is make cost less for the user. If you printing printing mainly black and white laser pages, the the price will going lower. In ink jet printers, Photographs and color graphics look better for less printer investment. If you want to print reports or presentations, the laser printer is good for you.
