    Motherboard which suits my proccessor

    Hi everyone,
I am Lokesh, I need your suggestion for the motherboard which suits my processor.
I am having Intel Core2Duo 2.2 GHz - E4500 Processor and my motherboard has burnt due to high voltage. I am planning to buy a new motherboard.
I enquired in some shops for the motherboard and the shop keeper said that now intel latest motherboards are not supporting the processor which i had.
Shopkeeper suggested me to sell the processor which i have and buy a gigabyte motherboard with AMD processor.
Can you please suggest me that is this a good idea to sell the processor and take the new one. And also tell me that, Is gigabyte motherboard is best or not.
    Specifications of motherboard
    CNQ technology
    512 Inbuilt graphics memory( Nvidia)
Sata 2 supports 10000 rpm hd also
    up to 8 gb memory
    comes with DVI port

Please tell is this best board or not. Otherwise suggest me a good motherboard which has inbuilt graphics with low budget

    Thank you in advance

Why dont you buy the same motherboard which you were using before? It will be available at some shops. It is possible that you will not get a Intel board but you will get a motherboard from different manufacturer which will support the processors. The processor you are using is relatively new and there should be no issue in new motherboard supporting it. Also dont buy the Gigabyte motherboard as you will face many problems with it.

You didnt mention the model no. of the Gigabyte motherboard.
Also you didnt mention your budget.

Your processor is good enough and if has met your requirments uptill now then no need to replace it with an amd.
Also you mentioned that your previous motherboard burnt due to high voltage.
So i suggest u should check the earthing at your place and also check the smps you are using.

Even I think that there is no need to change your processor. It depends on what applications you are going to work. If you are looking for the high defined applications like Maya or 3D Max, then you can change your processor to make that applications work fast. Otherwise you can keep the same processor if it is not damaged. The only thing you will have to change is your motherboard. Select the motherboard according to your need.

Ya , As i am a multimedia student, i need to work on 3d applications like maya or 3ds max .
everyone says that amd is the best for 3d applications or 3d gaming.
As shopkeeper also said that ,there is no intel motherboards for my processor as my processor is of 64nm tech and all motherboards are now coming with 45nm tech.
he suggested me to buy a biostar motherboard (model not mentioned ) which is 2500/- rs cost.

Intel's 45nm process technology will allow more energy efficient chips for mobile devices and increased opportunities for building smaller, more-powerful platforms. A graphics processing unit or GPU (also occasionally called visual processing unit or VPU) is a specialized processor that offloads 3D graphics rendering from the microprocessor. I bought the Asus P5E and its a very good motherboard for 45nm CPU's.
