    WD10EADS SATA Hard Drive

Hi every body, I am using an computer 500 gb hard disc, 2.4 sore 2 duo processor, 4 gb ram and etc. But I attached 2 hard disc of 500 gb to a system, and recently i heard about WD10EADS SATA Hard Drive which about 1 tb. I want to know about the power consumption will increases due to capacity. Can any one tell me it can be attached to my computer and what are the specification of this?

Power consumption western digital has minimized by up to 40 percent like to older system hard drives with the combination of WD's IntelliSeek, NoTouch, and IntelliPower technologies. It Caviar Green drives yield an average drive saves power of 4-5 watts as compared to standard desktop drives developing it possible for our energy-conscious customers to build machine with higher capacities and the right balance of machine performance, ensured reliability, and energy conservation.

Western Digital GreenPower Technology yields older operating temperatures for more reliable and low acoustics for very low noise PCs and external hard drives. It will available on capacities up to 2 TB offer the most available capacity for storage-intensive applications and memory-hungry operating systems, like Windows Vista, with maximum of room left over for pictures, audio, and video.

External drive developers can remove the havinga fan for a cooling in a high-capacity product with a WD Caviar Green drive, which is the coolest and quietest hard drive in its class. A tuned balance of revolution speed, transfer rate and caching algorithms developed to deliver both significant power savings and solid performance. Also it calculates optimum seek speeds to minimum power consumption, noise, and vibration.

The head of recording do not touches the disk media confirming significantly miinimum wear to the recording head of recording and media as well as better drive protection in transit. Employs PMR technology are greater areal density to achieve. The shaft of motor is protectd at both sides to minimize system-having vibration and stabilize platters for accurate tracking, at the time of read and write operations.
