Canon Prixma MP198 giving Service Error 5100.

I am having the Canon PIXMA MP198 All-In-One Printer. After some prints it started giving some error. I don't have much idea of All-In-One Printer. The engineer came and assembled the printer. I installed that properly, according to steps given in manual. I am using Windows Vista as my operating system. Now after some prints it is giving the Service Error 5100.
Anyone know why this error comes.? Please help me to fix this problem.!

The Service Error 5100 of the Canon Prixma MP198 comes when the Holder of the Print Head is blocked. Try to remove and then fit the holder again. Do that properly so that you will not damage the holder. I think doing this simple thing will fix your problem.

Even I think that Service Error 5100 occurs when there is paper jam which prevents the the Print Head Holder from moving. So try to Cancel the printing and Turn Off the printer. Remove the Holder and clean it. After sometime Turn it on. Hope you will not get the Service Error 5100 again.

If cleaning the Print Head is not solving the issue then try to reinstall the drivers and the software. First uninstall the drivers and software already installed of the printer. Then install the drivers that are for Windows Vista operating System. Don't connect your printer now. Then install the software that came along with the printer. While installing software, it will ask to connect the printer. Now you can connect the printer. Then follow the steps given on the screen. Maybe reinstalling the drivers and software will sort out this issue.

I am sure that the Service Error 5100 generates because of your movement of the Print Header is Blocked. This can happen because of the paper jam or other particles. Try to clean the header and then fix it properly. By doing this you will get the error solved. If it is not working then try to reinstall the drivers and software as mentioned by Rawko.
