AMD Radeon HD 5970 for windows 7

After the Radeon HD 5800 and 5700, it was the turn of the Radeon HD 5970 made its appearance. Declination dual-GPU Radeon HD 5800, it complements the high quality of the new family of graphics cards that AMD intends to build its current dominance. Unfortunately, AMD has indeed managed to develop a new family of GPUs in record time, TSMC has cons hard to make them. what about AMD Radeon HD 5970 graphic card.

A problem likely exacerbated by poor demand estimates by AMD which has probably felt a few months ago it would be low given the crisis and the fact that we are not in a period of massive regeneration equipment players. For its part, Nvidia has greatly reduced the production of its high-end cards to avoid having to sell off and lose too much money dealing with products more competitive.

The Radeon HD 5800 has come to drop, which is, as you can in doubt, raise prices. This is also the case for the Radeon HD 5970 which will be immediately available in very small quantities. The Radeon HD 5970 GPUs shipped 2 Cypress with a configuration similar to the one they take on the Radeon HD 5870 but with the frequency of the Radeon HD 5850.

The Radeon HD 5970 features 2 DVI Dual-Link output and Display Port.It incorporates the same design as other Radeon HD 5000 she received a rear cover. Unfortunately, the appearance has taken precedence over practicality, since the hull of the card exceeds the back of 15mm, which lengthens a PCB with its already huge 295mm. Overall it is therefore 310mm it will be back in your box.

Announced with a TDP of 294 watts, the Radeon HD 5970 is powered by two PCI Express (6 + 8 pin) and is equipped with a sink therefore based on an evaporation chamber as is the case on cooling systems Vapor-X Sapphire. AMD says the card is made for overclocking and the sink is able to collect up to 400 watta. The GDDR5 memory is Hynix signed and certified to 1250 MHz or 2500 MHz for sending data and a flow rate of 5 Gbps. The Radeon HD 5970 uses a PCI Express switch PLX PEX8647, as was the case with the Radeon HD 4870 X2.

Re: AMD Radeon HD 5970 for windows 7

The data are obtained from measurements carried out of the socket: it is therefore the total consumption of the power of the machine by a Cooler Master Real Power Pro 1250W. AMD has done a very good job in terms of consumption at rest of its Radeon HD 5000. The Radeon HD 5970 shows a consumption similar to that of a Cross Fire system based on two Radeon HD 5850. If the Radeon HD 5970 produces only a very slight noise at rest, it is clearly heard over and is noisier than the 2 Radeon HD 5850 in Cross Fire.
