hard disk western digital

comrades i had a westen digital hard drive 160 gb caviar blue, it was dead , and i am put to hold,

the process of picking delivery from western digital is like watching an alien movi, can any one tell me does western digital comapany exist or any thing worse happened like lehmann bros bank to the us.

if they are huge why don't they have a repair station/office in

south india -
chennai,hyderabad,bangalore,trivandrum or some where close .


i don't know how it bacame dead, that should be the power supply i hope .

some one recommend a power supply and the procedure for western digital hard disk replacement (any recovery will make me jump in joy)


a smps that should cover the cabinet fans ( 2 fans located at the side ) and
future videocard i prefer a nvidia (ati may come) with 512 or 1 gb video ram

( everyone knew him, i know him personally, could be a distant relative ? of mine )

i suspect a fan recently that made noise , zhanghghou it reads

i bought another but to my surprise
it has power rated 1.4 volts(the new one i purchased),
the old one .7 volts( will it trouble me again)

i coudl n;t say much now because
i am in ubnutu dvd live version without ups

I think you directly contact to western digital service support center regarding issue with hard disk. Purchase 9500GT 1 GB graphics express card that is latest and best suited if you play video games. Regarding smps ,400 to 500 Watt SMPS is the best option and select any good ATS cabinet depend on your budget. I also suggest you just upgrade your hard disk 160 GB to 320 GB that will come on market at price of 4000 RS.

Check if your warranty period for the hard disk is valid or not. IF it is you can probably get it replaced from Westen Digital for free or might be that you will have to shell it out from your pocket to get it repaired. I also had some issue with my Western Digital 320 GB hard disk which had gone dead with a month of purchase and I got it replaced.

can anyone give information about the locality and performace of western digital office in newdelhi . are they better than seagate .

guide me towards a better or best smps ---- corsair is the name heard often
