This problem occurs if you modified the registry value change MountedDevices assigning new drive letters or a system of allocation of drive letters. To resolve this problem you must remove all contents MountedDevices registry key. This key is in the following registry subkey:

    Code:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\MountedDevices
You can not modify MountedDevices registry key in Windows XP, because there are more code paths of access to the folder C: \ Windows. Unable to load these routes are not modifiable. It is then fed behavior that causes the error code of WPA-related.

A problem is preventing windows from accurately checking the license for this computer error code 0x8009001D" This occurs when the system is first booted, although you can try in safe mode. If the drive letter is the same as when Windows was installed. The only time you might want to do this is when the drive letters get changed without any user intervention.

Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps carefully. For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. First back up and restore the registry, then reset the Windows Update components as mentioned here - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058
