    Boost HDD speed

    Hello,
We have small setup of our office .Were all pc have dual core and fitted segate sata HDD . Every user have have alloted 80 GB.We mostly work on data storage . But now days we have noticed that our Hdd data transferring is very slow.I dont't know what to do? Is it our system problem or HDD's fault. Is there is any other option which work more fast?? Any suggestion??

Check your system with your hard drive speed.Otherwise go for one more new X25-M SSD speed.Intel was good option. It Intel SSD comes with toolbox and the optimizer, the significant factor which is 40 percent increase in drive performance of 160 GB. With the new 34nm SSD X25-M, users can expect up to 100 MB per second sequential write speeds. The Trim firmware also adds support for improved management of deleting data blocks and prolong the life of the drive that not only Windows 7, but XP and Vista systems. Owners can download the firmware here and found the tool box and optimizer here.An SSD SSD is built to replace the traditional hard disk drive (HDD) with an added performance, lower power consumption and higher reliability. The toolbox Intel SSD enables users to more effectively monitor and manage the health of the SSD. The firmware update and use the Intel SSD Optimizer Windows 7 * ATA Joint Chiefs of management data (known as Trim) to help maintain the high performance Intel SSD continuous operation. In addition, the toolbox SSD and optimizer also allows the respective improved to work with Windows * XP and Vista operating systems.

    Fast HDD

Samsung announced the f new hard disk drives (HDD) which uses the Marvell 88i6525 System on Chip (SOC). New Samsung drives are the first products of the industry to support 3.0 Gbps Native I / O transaction capabilities in addition to SATA Native Command Queuing (NCQ). Marvell SATA SOC featured on the new disk has the smallest pin count and footprint of any HDD on the SOC market. To reduce drastically the number of pins for HDD, the 88i6525's 128-pin TQFP package with footprint 14mmX14mm make it the first product to bring to reality one of the main goals of Serial ATA. This results in lower costs through reducing pin and saving PCB area. Marvell chip features the lowest industrial energy consumption, mainly due to its advanced Serial ATA transceiver physical layer (PHY) and low power, high speed data read channel technology. The core 88i6525 read channel can carry up to 1.25 Gb / s, which is another industry first for a desktop hard drive.

    Re: Boost HDD speed

If you have formatted your disk with NTFS ,then NTFS creates an 8.3 filename every time it creates a long file name, which adds a bit of time to process file creation. To expedite things, you can disable short filenames using the command fsutil:
    behavior fsutil put disable8dot3 1
Restart your machine for this to take effect. A couple of caveats: The cluster size by default on NTFS volumes is 4K, which is nice if your files are typically small and generally remain the same size. But if your files are generally much larger and tend to grow over time as applications change, try increasing the cluster
the size of your disks 16K or 32K to compensate. This will reduce the amount of space you lose your readers and will open the files a bit faster.
    Two caveats, however:
    * If you want to compress older files to save disk space using NTFS compression, you must leave the cluster size to 4K.
    * The smaller files (compared to the cluster size), more fragmented your volume will tend to become over time. Use FAT32 for file exchange.
    1. Create a volume on your second drive, ensuring that the volume is large enough to hold your paging file. (Three times your RAM is more than enough.)
    2. Format the new volume using FAT32 instead of NTFS, since FAT32 gives slightly better read performance on smaller volumes.
    3. Do not create more volume on your second disk is to leave this drive for exclusive use by the paging file.
