Configure Linksys RTP300 on Vista MCE

    Hi,
I want to configure a Linksys RTP300 router on my media center pc. I was using the router for my office use. Now I had shifted that one to my house. I have LCD TV at my room where the Media Center PC is kept. Then I have two more system at the other part of home with a surround sound system I need some configuration settings information and specification about the router. Will it work fine with the Vista MCE. As the router works better on networking but When I connect the Media Center PC to get my stored music on other system it takes a long tome to access it. Both PC appear after a long time on the Media Center screen. Any suggestions really appreciated.

So first install it properly and run the firmware upgrade for the same. Connect your internet cable and see weather you can share your internet connection or not. Now on you LCD display use your remote to check what PC' are available on the network. You can directly access to the stored media and enjoy a high speed internet access.

Some points you must keep in mind while adding up a router to your Media Center PC are that always run a latest driver and software update. That is necessary for optimizing the Media center. Set a proper access point for the system on the network. Then see that the router and the network both is available. If you feel that the output quality is slow or the streaming not good then check the cables and ensure that there is not much gap between them. Many router have pre-configured software's. And here you just need to run a wizard and follow the instructions.
