    Energy S10.3 Subwoofer

Subwoofers aren’t just about having “knock down the walls” power—they’re about delivering accurate bass at lower volumes, too. With a 10-inch hybrid woofer and 200 watts of power, the Energy S10.3 is ideal for any home theater or stereo system.

    • Versatile black ash finish

    • Big 10-inch composite woofer with Ribbed Elliptical Surround for deep bass extension; delivers huge, totally accurate low frequencies

    • Internal amplifier delivers 200 watts of room-filling power

    The lowdown
You’ll love the clarity as much as the “thump”. The S10.3 delivers both with ease. This is another Energy no-compromise subwoofer…it’s purpose-built to make everything you listen to sound amazing.

200 watts of RMS power from the built-in amplifier gives it plenty of grunt to make the deepest bass resound. Plus, the S10.3s black ash veneer blends with most of our speaker lines and looks great next to any flat panel display.

    Bragging rights

The S10.3 subwoofer offers terrific performance and great features:

A bass-reflex design with down-firing ports, the S10.3 has an 10-inch composite cone with Ribbed Elliptical Surround. This proprietary design eliminates surround distortion, letting it go lower with greater output and fidelity. An efficient internal power amplifier with 200-watt RMS FTC (800-watt dynamic) amplifier brings listening to a whole new level.

The S10.3 features line and speaker level inputs, as well as a variable low-pass filter for seamless integration with a wide variety of speakers, including Energy’s C-Series and Take Series. The subwoofer also has a power mode switch that turns it on and off automatically, based on the presence of an audio signal.

    Maximum performance tips
The three most common subwoofer locations include corners (which can result in boomy or exaggerated low frequency response), placement along a wall, away from the corner (producing moderate bass performance with increased fidelity over corner placement), or beside a front speaker (creating a better blend with the front speaker, but sacrificing overall volume). Experimentation with subwoofer placement is highly encouraged; slight adjustments can create big differences in sound reproduction. To test subwoofer placement, install it temporarily in your main listening position and walk around the listening room while playing a familiar piece of music until you find the best sounding position.
