Problems Connecting PC to TV using DVI to HDMI

    Hello Good morning,

I am attempting to connect my computer with Geforce FX5600 graphic adapter to Philips PFL9703D by a DVI to HDMI cable. The default resolution is 1024x768 and quality is good, but when I try to change the resolution to 1920x1080, the image becomes blur, it is even hard to understand what is on screen.what is wrong friends...

    any thoughts?
    thanks..!!!

It is true that many of the LCD HD TVs are comfortable at 1280x760, so better attempt for lower your screen resolution to 800x600 or 1024x768 or 1280x1024, or if you have WS resolution, then select 1280x760.However for dual monitor, it will depend on graphics card and driver, and configured through the graphics card's control panel. Windows XP's screen properties has basic multimonitor support but that will depend on the graphics driver and card on which method to support.Typically, a DVI and VGA output on graphics card can be set to display spontaneously, either mirroring or extended.

You have to the TV powered on prior you power on the PC.Then you should visit the nvidia control panel an duse the wizard for setting up dual monitor support. You may also want to ensure you have the latest video drivers. Geforce FX5600 settings for resolution and frame rates and matching those accepted by the TV. Read both manuals. The native resolution for that TV is 1680x1050.

Philips TV has an option under the menu item FUNCTION called MODE... There are two options: PC and HD,choose the PC mode. Also, uncheck the Treat monitor as HDTV in the nvidia control panel as it may interfere with the MODE menu being shown...so make sure your nvidia is configured to output 1080p (1920 x 1080). You'll get amazing quality.
