Which is Fastest Terabyte Drive

Hi Folks,

I would like to know Which is Fastest Terabyte Drive available in market.Some told me about Samsung F1 and the WD Caviar Black.So what you think is those are the kingpin or some other?also will any of these drives be slower or faster than my current 500GB Samsung?

As far as my knowledge Seagate Barracuda 7200.11, Hitachi Deskstar 7K1000 and Western Digital Caviar GP WD10EACS are three competitors in this concern.and the Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 is the best one for sustained reading and writing and finder duplicate 1 GB file

To my best knowledge, even a single hardware developer is not up to releasing a Terabyte SSD. In my opinion, you're best bet would be a standard 7200 RPM hard disk.Head over to TigerDirect, and don't think about their 1 TB drives, but rather look for their 1.5 TB drives. They retail for about $150.

Guys I think the comparison of the Seagate 7200.11 is a bit vague. I'm curious if the new 1.5 TB Barracuda stacks up to these drives.If you have the money, and really wish to get into the SSD world, I'd look for a good 128GB SSD, install the OS and so on onto that drive, then use regular 1TB SATA drive/s in the other 3 drive bays. You'll get a nice insanely fast boot time with an SSD on a MacPro, just like Chris did haha. It took just under 2 seconds to boot into OSX.If this drive is going to be on the BOTB list, 1TB of storage is usless if the device is prone to failure.
