I have been using Turtle Beach HPA2's, I got for around $60 from Dell.com. Definitely worth the investment. You can use it for movies with dolby headphone, good for effects and average performer for music. Great sound, and quite comfortable. The external amp/dolby converter plus the long cord can make a bit of cable to place on your desk. And its the best gaming headset under $100.
I use Logitech Precsion PC Gaming Headset, I had purchased it for 29.95 USD. I cant sit back in my chair cause it hits the headset, then why did you get a headset that goes behind your head. for the ears hurting. The cord should prove long enough to connect to a floor-standing computer's rear-panel jacks if necessary.
Its Specifications :
o Frequency response:
Headset: 20–20,000 Hz
Microphone: 100–16,000 Hz
o Sensitivity: -59 dBV/µbar, -38 dBV/Pa +/- 4 dB
o Cable length: 10 feet
o Gold-plated audio connectors
Altec Lansing AHS-502 is a good set of headphones with a microphone is a must for hardcore team gamers. It is comfortable and lightweight enough to wear every day. It is a great headset, and you definitely like it. I found the sound quality seriously good.
At right around 100 bucks I'd personally go with the Logitech G930, Razer Megalodon, or the Tritton TRIAX-720. Here's a top ten list for PC gaming headsets... I own the G930 which works great with FPS games (7.1 surround). It's a little flimsier than I thought but overall still a really good value.
