Laptop shutting off on its own

I have HP laptop. The problem with my laptop is that whenever I start my laptop, after sometime the laptop shutdown itself on its own irrespective of whichever application I am running on it. It happens while I am surfing internet, playing game, working with some excel or word file or any other random program. What is the problem going on ? can anyone please explain...

Over-heating is the most common cause of self shutting down of laptops. Excess heat forces laptops to shutdown.

Don't Worry ! This can be easily fixed if you clean the heat sink.

Most of the time what happens is, the heat sink gets clogged with lint and dust. It ruins normal air flow inside the heat sink and the heat stops dissipating. As a result – the CPU overheats and the laptop shuts down.

I think it's the Power issue that is causing the problem. The computer runs on DC power. AC power in what the wall outlets use. The most common problem with your issue is nothing but the wall outlet AC power.

The wall outlet AC normally has to fall between 110 volts to 120 volts. Anything under 110 AC volts starts causing problems with improper functioning of the computer. However, If it falls below 85 AC volts, then your hardware starts to fail.
