How to reduce cpu usage in vista

Hi

Friends my PC is running at 100% CPU Usage (CTL+ALT+DEL Task Manager). What do I do to decrease that? is there any tips to reduce cpu usage in windows vista ?

Just remove unwanted programs in the start-up menu,

Do the following steps :

• Go to Start, Run
• Type in msconfig
• Go to the start-up tab.
• Browse and remove unwanted items.

To reduce Cpu usage : use the only way is to limit its activity, for example, instead of scanning all files, only programs (exe, com, pif, dll). Don't install unwanted software in computer.

go to the Control Panel and select the "Power Options." If the Preferred Plan is not "Power Saver" chose this setting. Fine tune these settings by selecting "Change Plan Settings" and then "Change Advanced Power Settings." then go into "Services" tab and put a check mark in the "Hide all Microsoft services" box. Remove the check marks from the remaining services that you do not need to run all the time. This will reduce your CPU usage.
