Mouse skipping and Stuttering

I have been having this problem from many days. I have a Dell Dimension XPS gaming system, its suppose to be top of the line however if I run more than one or two applications my mouse skips. When I move the mouse back and forth, it will even skip along the desktop with no programs running. I have uninstalled loads of programs, updated all the via drivers, etc but still same problem. I have win Xp.

I dont know what to do, can anyone help?

Uninstall the mouse drivers from the device list and then reboot.

After rebooting, it should be detected automatically... it will solve your problem.

You can try cleaning the lens with a Q-tip and apply some alcohol. Leave it to dry, after for 5mins you try the mouse again. This might help you !!!

Right-click the desktop, click on properties, go to settings tab, click on advanced button, go to troubleshoot tab. Try lowering the hardware acceleration two clicks. Click apply, click ok, and then reboot the pc. If the cursor action improves, it's a then its video card issue...
