    Sony Ericsson Yari Mobile Phone

Sony Ericsson recently made public a new multimedia phone called the Yari. It provides a completely redefined dimension to mobile gaming with the introduction of the Gesture technology. This new innovative feature lets you play games by actually moving your body. A games carousel is also introduced by this cell phone, which lets you access all games from your desktop. To boost the gaming experience the Yari encompasses the EC500 phone stand. The Play Now arena service can as well be accessed from the Yari.

Gesture gaming definitely will give people their daily dose of exercise. It seems like a nice unique way of having fun and passing your leisure. But, it would surely seem a little whacky to find people boxing invisible enemies, bowling or smashing or throwing invisible balls, twisting and turning when they are waiting at a bus stop, traveling or sitting on a park bench. However, gesture gaming should be given a chance and not ridiculed just by the mere internet knowledge of the concept. If you are exhausted playing the gesture games, you can even play regular games or listen to music.

The phone stand has built in keyring which ensures portability and makes sure that the user does not miss any of the gaming experiences. The Outdoor Wireless Speaker MS500 helps users to pedal the volume. Yari supports the GSM/GPRS/EDGE850/900/1800/1900 and the UMTS/HSDPA900/2100 network.

This phone equips 5 mega pixel camera with 4x digital zoom and auto focus features and permits smile detection and geo tagging. The photo fix, photo feeds and photo light facilitate better image capturing. It also supports Video recording and Video light. Services like Exchange ActiveSync, Predictive text input, Sound Recorder makes messaging fun. Polyphonic ring tones, call lists and Video calling enable consumers to communicate efficiently

The Yari never forgot music addicted . It features album art, a music player, stereo speakers, Bluetooth stereo (A2DP), Mega bass, Track Id and Shake control. Organizing becomes easy with the Organizer that consists of an Alarm clock, Calendar, Calculator, Flight mode, Phone book, Stop watch and many more
Another attractive feature of this slider phone is its 3.5G capability. Accessing internet pages or emailing will all happen in a jiffy with this feature. A 2.4” 240 x 320 pixels camera is featured for viewing all the displays. There is an internal memory of 60MB. Memory expansion can be achieved as well with microSD cards. A-GPS ability is presented too, for accessing location based applications. A USB port for data exchange is housed as well. The Sony Ericsson Yari Gesture-gaming Phone will be available for sale during the fourth quarter of 2009.

The phone also presents an auto rotate feature with torch functionality and pictorial wallpapers. Its dimensions are 100 x 48 x 15.7 mm and it weighs just 115 grams. It provides a GSM/GPRS talk time of up to 10 hrs while the talk time of UMTS is up to 4.5hrs. It supports a standby time of up to 450hrs
