How to Stream PC videos to HDTV with PS3

I have a PC from which i need to stream videos to my HDTV. I have a PS3 connected. PC and PS3 are on network, but i am not able to video the videos from the TV. When i select the videos and check it from the network, i don't see any video files, all i see is an empty folder. Help Guys!

I guess you will require a PC with Windows OS and Media Center application. Also a Media Center Extender [hardware] is required to do so and as you have a PS3 you have a Media Center Extender. PS3 Acts as a media Center Extender. Well if your computer and PS3 are in network, you must be able to see the video on the TV when accessing from the PS3. Can you browse and listen to music?

I have been using the PS3 with my HDTV since a long back. I never tried accessing video of my computer till yesterday. It is then that i came to know i cannot see those. Well i can listen to music of my computer on my TV using PS3. I have Windows Vista. But i guess something is wrong with the videos. If anyone helps me, would be really greatful... Please help Guys!

I just figured it out myself. I did not select the video folder in the library from Windows Media Player. I first tried putting one video in the 'My Videos' folder in 'My Documents' and i could see that video on PS3. So i tried configuring the Windows Media Player. Thanks though!
