HP Pavilion won't boot

I have HP Pavilion dv6t laptop, Installed windows xp. The problem is my laptop won't boot. I tried to restart it but it shows black screen until I press F1. If i press F1 it start showing blue screen with HP logo on screen and stop booting at that point doesn't do anything.What has happened and what is the solution?Can anyone help!!!

Disconnect the power cable, press the power button (to discharge any capacitors). Somehow the card reader's firmware gets scrambled, and it prevents the computer from booting Or BIOS may be corrupted. Try to reinstall bios.

Try this to test your hardrive, when you start it tap the F10 to bring you into Bios (the setup) and Check the boot sequence in the BIOS, reset to look for the hard drive first, then any other next or some will allow boot from HD only.Then Try boot from the CD then choose repair. It could be that the boot sector is damaged, boot to the CD, repair and do a format /mbr and reboot with out the CD.
