Dell Laptop Touch Buttons Stop Working

Hi friends,

I am facing an issue with my Dell laptop few days ago my laptop touch buttons where not working i try to restarted my laptop and it worked fine. But today again it got stop and i made a reboot and it got worked but after some time of span it's getting stop.I don't know whats the issue with it and this things happens again and again. Can anyone help me out with this issue.

First try to have find out that does your touch buttons software is running or not ,for this you need to open task manager and over here check that process named as hpkbdapp.exe is running or not for Dell laptop.If it's not running try to run the software and i am sure this would solve your problem.

I try to check the mention things which you have told me and hpkbdapp.exe is already running Touch Buttons for my Dell laptop under task manager.Can anyone help me out with this issue.

I was also facing such kind of issue and i try to call Dell technicians and the told me to do the below mention things and my issue got resolved.

1. For that first you need to Shut down your laptop.
2. Then remove AC power for your laptop.
3. Now hold the power button for next 30 seconds.
4. now you can check that your touch buttons will be working fine.

Why to hold the the power button for 30 seconds ? Would you please explain ?
