Is my motherboard compatible for Intel

I have a motherboard which in which i have AMD processor. Can i use this motherboard for an intel processor? I'm tired of slow and cheap processing delivered by AMD. I want to switch to intel. Can anyone help me out? Thanks in advance...

Which motherboard do you use? I mean which make and what model? may be that can help you to fecth some info from other guys! i guess you can use some motherboards... Not sure though...

I have an Asus motherboard. The model is K8V-MX and i used AMD Sempron 2400+ processor. This is my old machine so i don't want to replace any part just the processor would be enough if this could be done, i don't think that is possible, but any reply would be thankful. Thanks! Please Help...

No! You cannot use a motherboard that uses an AMD processor for an Intel processor. The pin layout and processor design of Intel and AMD are totally different. Also the chip level architecture of both the processor is different so that makes the pin out layout different. So simply you cannot use Intel boards for AMD and AMD boards for Intel....!
