NMI : Parity check/memory parity error

My brother is using core2duo with 3GB RAN & 500 GB HDD. He recently got the following message as an error on the blue screen & computer stopped working. The error showed is as follows :-

"Hardware Malfunction : Call your hardware vendor for support.
NMI : Parity check/memory parity error."

    Please suggest some solution...!

You've probably got some bad RAM. The first thing I'd try would be to open the box up, remove the RAM, blow the dust bunnies out and re-seat the RAM. If that doesn't fix it, you'll prob. need a new stick or two of RAM.

It could also be something as simple as a new clock battery. I would re-seat everything, CPU, RAM, PCI cards, IDE cables, motherboard power connector, etc.

I just got the same error today while only viewing powerpoint documents. It's also happened before to me. I just restart and it's fine tho. I haven't touched anything in my system so i wouldn't think it would be his g.skill memory..

Here is the Microsoft Solution for the same try to check the link below may help you!

    Link Microsoft

    OR

Download the IBM NetVista standalone diagnostics T3GT97A from the IBM website and run (from a floppy) the full memory test. It's just possible you're
