HP unveils Officejet Pro 8500 All-in-One series in India

HP India has introduced an affordable and efficient HP Officejet Pro 8500 All-in-One series printer. The new printer is based on the exclusive HP Scalable Printing Technology and delivers enhanced performance and reliability as well as premium print permanence with new HP Officejet pigment inks.

These printers cater to small and micro-business consumers as they deliver excellent results while being energy-efficient. The devices are also economically priced and hence produce the best color results.

The HP Officejet Pro 8500 All-in-One series is HP's top-of-the-line inkjet All-in-One series and includes fast print speeds, embedded wired and wireless networking options and device management software. It is the base model and includes automatic two-sided printing, a two-line LCD control panel, a 35-page automatic document feeder (ADF) and embedded wired networking.

It also includes embedded wireless networking, a legal-size scan glass, a 50-page ADF, a 3.45-inch color touchscreen LCD and Direct Digital Filing. This four-in-one ENERGY STAR qualified device also offers key features to help save paper and reduce businesses' impact on the environment.

There is a 50% decrease in the energy consumed and the cost per page when compared to other standard printers. This is achieved as the printers utilize HP Officejet inks. Durable color documents can be printed where the color is water-resistant and can dry up quickly due to the Officejet pigment inks. This technology is specially designed for papers with ColorLok technology and business news.

Up to 35 and 34 pages per minute in black and color respectively can be printed with the Pro 8500. The device can also achieve laser-comparable speeds of up to 15 and 11 pages per minute in black and color respectively. Documents can be shared amongst 10 users with Direct Digital Filing and wired and wireless 802.11g networking. Web printing is now a snap with the HP Smart Web Printing feature which organizes pages for easy web printing. Also included is the HP Easy Printer Care software.

With the wireless model, users can select and view photos from memory cards such as through the 3.45 inch color LCD touchscreen. The memory card slots support CompactFlash, Memory Stick Duo, xD-Picture Card, Memory Stick and Secure Digital/MultiMedia Card. Also included are 50 page automatic document feeder, wireless networking, legal-sized scan glass and Direct Digital Filing. The HP Officejet Pro 8500 All-in-One printer offers customers a 35-page automatic document feeder, two-line LCD control panel and embedded wired networking.

The HP Officejet Pro 8500 All-in-One is available for Rs.20,861 and the wireless printer is available for Rs.22,899. Supported supplies like HP 940 black, HP 940XL- cyan, magenta and yellow Officejet Inkjet Cartridge are priced at Rs.1,333. The HP 940XL Black Officejet Ink Cartridge is available for Rs.1,845. The printer will be out in stores by May, 2009.
