Award Bootblock, Bios ROM checksum error

I am having trouble with the ASUS Technical Service, 48 hours before having an answer and I looked on the ASUS forum, but they are not very friendly.

Here is my problem, this weekend I had a nice BSOD with an error "Bugcode USB Driver" dump and company ....

For that I again I get my pc directly to a black page with these instructions:

    Award Bootblock

    Bios ROM checksum error

    Detective floppy drive A media
    Drive A error

Insert system disk and press enter

I tried to put the dvd supplied with the motherboard (because the error message and system bios) and the windows in case but I have the message "Drive A error" which returns.

I subsequently lost, should I put a floppy disk but not drive it will be complicated .....

Someone would have already known this problem?

    My config:
    Asus Striker II Formula
    Pentium D 940 3.2 GHz
    8800 GTX
    4 GB DDR2 Corsair XSM2 DHX
    Cooler Master Real Power 520W
    Windows XP SP3

Did you borrowed a floppy drive or you buy one?

Search via Google how to create a disk with the award bootblock bios file from your motherboard.

Go into the bios and disable the floppy drive on the first page of the bios
chosen after the usb in the boot order and boot with everything you need to flash on your usb drive

I just finally received a response of Asus, I recommend a clear CMOS.

Well if I read my manual I need to check a jumper - checked it is set to "enable"

    Turn off and unplug
    Press the button clr CMOS
    then reconnected.

In this case if I read well I have to put the "legacy disk A" Disabled.

change the boot order and put the usb in first.

Put the bios on a USB drive, should I make it bootable?

And when I fall on my checksum error, put the usb stick.

Would not this option Asus CrashFree BIOS 2, my black page where it says the error in bios, I saw this on the manual option allowing the dvd with original restored the bios.

But I think that I have not put in the floppy option disabled, it is automatically passed through the disk.

Yes, clear cmos, often the 1st thing to do in case of concern, I do not think you did not.

If you found your bios, you can browse, edit and save it, is that there will be more checksum error or boot block, no need to reflash, the pc will restart normally. But maybe not windows.
