    Unwanted power up on laptops

Hello. I have had at least 5 different laptops, from 3 manufacturers (Compaq, Toshiba, Acer). With all of them, I have had the problem that after switching them off (to "hibernate" or "sleep") they may at some random time, switch themselves back on, and run until the battery is flat.

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks

    Hey!
Do you have any programs that are scheduled? Even antivirus scheduled task brings laptop live from sleep... Well if your laptop is in hibernation it won't come powerup no matter what programs are scheduled... It may power up live only if its in sleep mode...! or you can say stand by...! All the best...!

Try a different power supply perhaps. I've seen dead batteries like that put such a draw on the power adapters that it eventually kills them.
Try the thing with no battery.
