I have a problem with external hard drive. I have a free space of 125GB. I would like to put a video file of 4.20GB on it but it says insufficient space.
I do not understand this, why it told me this. Could you help me please?

External hard drive...
Look into the property and see what type of formatting it is. Well I suppose that it is fat32 which is the reason why it refuses to copy your files.
fat32 limits the size of the file to 4 GB max. If you really want to copy then you need to reformat your hard drive to NTFS
Altogether it is fat32, is there another way to circumvent this problem because I do not want to lose what I have on my hard drive
You cut your file into 2 or you compress it using software like winrar, etc.
You can very well transform your hard drive to NTFS without losing data. Simply by passing the command:
convert drive letter: /fs:ntfs
at the MS-DOS command prompt
