Connect the inverter and the PC

I bought an inverter but there is no communication cable to connect the UPS to the PC. It is a MGE Protection Center 500. What part of the UPS, has the pair of being of RJ11 or RJ45. So how do I connect this inverter to the PC?
What cable should I buy?

Knowing that the PC on which the inverter is connected is a eee box, so I do not have much opportunity to share the usb.

If a network cable in RJ45 and connects the inverter and the PC in RJ45's gonna work? (but on the UPS, I do not know if it's RJ45 or 11 .... Be careful not to mention the outlet for the modem or network, but the catch is used to communicate between the UPS and pc)

I searched on Google a cable that would serve my purpose but I didn't found anything.

Memory is a proprietary cable to the serial or USB depending on the version.

From the model code you should be able to find the leaflet in PDF format on the manufacturer's site.

Like you, I looked for a good time for the wiring connecting a UPS MGE Protection Center 500 on the USB port. I even disassembled the inverter to see what the pins used on the RJ45 connector. I tried several connections to judge ... Without success ...
I was ready to give up when I came across some site which did a miracle! And now it works! I connected as follows:

USB RJ45
1 ----------------- 1
2 ----------------- 7
3 ----------------- 8
4 ----------------- 5
shield ------------- 4

I had the same problem. A small clip to crimp RJ45 and everything is settled.

Did you buy an inverter or UPS ?

Inverters are not meant to used with computers.
