BFG EX - 1200W Power Supply

Hardware Manufacturer BFG has released a new food as power in high-end systems have to do. The PSU provides up to 1200 watts, but can also deliver less power without compromising efficiency in fines. Plenty of spare wattage for the future combined with a much better lifespan. When you have to purchase a new PSU the choices are pretty extreme. More high end enthusiast gamers and PC builders go for 650 Watts and above PSUs, and the choice in brands is enormous.

The modular 1200W power supply of BFG has a 80 Plus certification received. The manufacturer took a nice trick to return to keep the psu a technique that allows the company Frequency Conversion Technology lists, even modest power emulate. Even with a load of only 10 percent would be less than one fifth of the recorded stream lost. By providing the BFG 1200W continuous EX-1200 thanks to an active-controlled 135mm fan is not warmer than forty degrees. Ever since we as media gave the PSU more awareness things progressed fast .. real fast. The PSU got so much attention that it became a trendy thing to own. We moved from dull grey, towards colored PSUs, we added modular designs and phrases like cable management became a hip thing, cables all of a sudden got sleeved. We also entered an era where power consumption became an issue. PSUs as such grew fast in wattage on one side, yet on the other side we wanted green, and thus PSU efficiency went up. Where we are today is a market that has been stabilizing for the past year or so.

The EX-1200 has four 12V rails, 40A each can provide. A separate 5V rail to ensure that the CPU in standby mode. The connections of the power supply are modular and BFG provides, in addition to the mandatory 24pin motherboard connector and cpu connectors, three six-and three eight-pin PCI Express connectors. For older devices and case fans, nine molex cables included, while no less than twelve sata devices puncture can be provided. Finally, BFG two floppy connectors along. The BFG EX-1200 is immediately available and in America costs about $ 250.

Note that 1200 watts of the system is provided. With an efficiency of 80% draw then 1200 / 0.80 = 1500 watts from the wall.
You can use this device should not depend on a coiled extension cord ...

He draws the same power as a big vacuum cleaner, but just hope that (the computer on which it is) not as noisy

    2000 watts?

    Let's count:
    230 volt, 16 ampere fuse, 230 * 16 = 3680.

I am glad that my groups rig not have max of 2000 watts, otherwise I could never use certain devices. (I think our oven 2.2kW)

It's decent, not least because it has much lower consumption, which is still as efficient. Since most of the capital often the video card must be provided and the difference in consumption between idle and full power has increased with the latest more efficient (in idle mode) nvidia cards is also known as demand. The same will probably be extended to the AMD cards.
