i have Windows XP SP2 installed on my C: drive and i have XP SP3 image on my D: drive.....i want to boot up my pc using D: drive so that i can start installation of XP sp3 just as we do using CD....is there any way to do this ?

i think u cant get my question dude.....i just want to format my C: drive using image stored on D: drive .....and install new operating system....

is by windows PE or windows live Cd
You can first uninstall Windows Service Pack 2 on C: and install Service Pack 3 from D: and mention path to C: while installation. The uninstalled copy Service Pack 2 can be moved to D:
