    Power supply for HD 4870 Crossfire

    In the coming days, I will buy 3 graphics card ati 4870. I would like to know what power supply I should choose?

    Here is my config

    E8400 @ 4GHz
    Motherboard: Asus P5Q-E
    Ram: Corsair XMS2 Dominator 2x2GB Kit PC8500 DDR2-1066 CL5
    Fan: Asus Silent Square
    Graphic card (at the moment): nvidia 8800 GTS 512 MB
    HDD: Western Digital 1TB SATA II 16MB
    Power Supply (now): Gigabyte ODIN Pro 550W

    Corsair 520W or just above

    You want to have crossfire with 3 graphics cards? Can you explain me this?

    3 card?
    waste of money especially on p45
    X8 + X8 + X4, do not expect wonders.
    Take rather a HD4870X2 which is probably even more stable and more perf

    If ever I see it an hd 4870x2? I have my power supply at this time sufficient? or will change?

    The problem is that your motherboard will start facing problem to make the crossfire because of its chipset. That is why you can take a rather simple HD4870X2 which return the same as the HD4870 in crossfire but with the concern of Chipset minus (turn your card well in X16, not X8 + X8)
